In my favorite dreams You and I are running free Unburdened from the world Silhouettes in symmetry Framed by the sunset Perfect eternally Snapshot memories True love in certainty When the morning comes My heart will start to break up Dreaming of your face And now I have to wake up Caught in cosmic cycles Lost in repetition Crying cause I miss you Alone in my attrition Once upon a time I had a loyal friend But “once upon a time” Well it always has to end Moral of the story: No consolation prize Just quiet reflections Of those golden eyes When the morning comes My heart will start to break up Dreaming of your face And now I have to wake up Caught in cosmic cycles Lost in repetition Crying cause I miss you Alone in my attrition

Blind Coyote 02:31
Can we just sit here in silence? No, you can’t see anything But I’ve wasted too much time on adderall* and poetry This guitar’s all out of tune and I’m not hitting the right notes Your world is slipping into shadows And you just need a friend close If they send you to the surgeon Could they keep your heart alive? Or would we end up in the gutter? This pain cuts just like a knife Can I pull myself together? Find my strength and be a man Triumph over tribulations That I’ll never understand For now I’ll just close my eyes Live life one step at a time When the blind lead the blind We will stumble through the night At this point it feels like Any good news would suffice For now I’ll just close my eyes We can't pretend that it's alright Can we wake up one last morning? Watch the birds on power lines Light up against the pink backdrop Of a stormy morning sky And I’ll hold you close as I can Keep pretending it’s alright Meanwhile something deep within me Splits apart from the inside Can we just sit here in silence? No you can’t see anything But the moments spent together Have long meant the world to me So for now I’ll hold you tight We can’t pretend that it’s alright At least I was just so lucky to have had you by my side For now I’ll just close my eyes live life one step at a time When the blind lead the blind We will stumble through the night At this point it feels like Any good news would suffice For now I’ll just close my eyes We can’t pretend that it’s alright Next time that I see you, would you guide me through the stars above?

I’m kind of getting sick of everybody It’s clear they’re getting tired of me I think I need to be alone tonight I need to find some room to breathe It makes me laugh, when I want to cry I tried my best, I don’t know why To all my former friends I have to say goodbye You’ll claim to miss me but I know you’re telling lies So I will disappear, fade into a ghost A specter of what you once had A friendship decomposed Please just let me fade from your memories You’ll forget the greatest times but this is what I need Yolo Ono says: I need the time to be with my own devices I hope my absence makes you think of me the fondest But even if you don’t, it don’t matter much to me I’m friends with all my demons and insecurities So I will disappear, fade into a ghost A specter of what you once had A friendship decomposed Please just let me fade from your memories You’ll forget the greatest times but this is what I need

When the morning comes I hope to see your face But the fact still remains you are far gone from this place Truth be told, it sucks and I’ll never be the same Reality has changed in the most profound of ways If life is but a dream then what happens when we wake up? Though I lost a friend I guess I get to grow up. Watch the setting sun as the world keeps on spinning Every story ending leads to a new beginning Great. I’ll never be the same. I tried to cast some spells that would keep you here to stay I spent $12000 bucks but still you went away All that I’ve got left is to sing these stupid songs I’ve got no fucking clue where it all went wrong If life is but a dream then what happens when we wake up? Though I lost a friend I guess I get to grow up. Watch the setting sun as the world keeps on spinning Every story ending leads to a new beginning Great. I’ll never be the same. Some may say life is meant to go this way but the only truth remains I will miss you every day Some may say life will never be the same

about

I was lucky enough to have an amazing dog named Anubis by my side for seven wonderful years.
Last year, he went blind from a tumor in his brain. The events that followed were sudden and definite.
I still miss him and I know that I will for a long time, but hold onto the warmth that we brought each other in the time we had. (and thank you A.L. for bringing him into my life)

I wrote these songs during the decline.
It is better to express these emotions, rather than retaining them!
